MARIMBAS
Tenor Marimba - merge with C-Major Diatonic
(C-Major Diatonic Scale)
These marimbas are pitch-accurate melodic bar percussion instruments suitable for use in the classroom, pre-schools, music rooms, or the home. Their reduced size makes them ideal for small children.
They are institutional quality and are not considered toys. Notes represent the C-Major scale with the lowest pitch starting at Tenor C (C3). The top note of the single octave version is Middle C (C4). In the two-octave version, the top note is an octave above Middle C which is notated as C5.
Bars are made of straight-grained African Padauk. Resonator box is made from poplar. Finish is a semi-gloss, water-based clear coat that is wear-resistant to normal handling and playing. Rounded corners are employed to provide child-friendly surfaces. Yarn wound mallets and a Users Guide are included.

Children generally kneel to play these marimbas. An optional marimba height stand is available that raises the playing surface height to 24-inches allowing the child to stand while playing.
