Bass Marimba
(C-Major Diatonic Scale)
The CCBANTA Model C28D bass marimba represents a companion piece to the models C38D and C315D Tenor Marimbas, and is designed to extend the lower range of those smaller marimbas.
The lowest or starting note of this marimba is Bass (or cello) C which is one octave below the lowest pitch of the tenor marimbas.
This bass marimbas is a pitch-accurate melodic bar percussion instruments suitable for use in the classroom, pre-schools, music rooms, or the home. This is an institutional quality instrument and not considered a toy.

Bars are made of straight-grained African Padauk. Resonator box is made from birch plywood. Both components are finished with a semi-gloss, water-based clear coat that is wear-resistant to normal handling and playing. Yarn wound mallets and a Users Guide are included.
Due to the increased size and height of this bass marimba, a special child's riser platform is available for smaller children so they can easily reach the playing surface.
